If Golomb Rulers up to 150 marks are already known, why are we doing this?

There are a number of references that list best-known rulers, such as James B. Shearer's list that contains rulers up to 150 marks. However, it should be noted that most of the rulers listed there (ie: those greater than 23) are just loose identifications and have not been proven to necessarily be the most optimal ruler with that number of marks. Additionally, it may well be possible to identify even more optimal rulers for those instances by executing an exhaustive search.
