Is there a prize for winning OGR?

Not a cash prize. Unlike the RC5 and other crypto challenges in which distributed.net has participated, there is nobody offering a prize for a new, shorter Golomb ruler.

But you do get the chance to contribute, however fractionally, to the sum total of human knowledge, and may even get mentioned in the footnote of some obscure mathematics journal.

And it is good karma.
