(Answer) (Category) distributed.net Faq-O-Matic : (Category) the Client software : (Answer) How can I get the client to use all of the CPUs in an SMP system?
Most clients can take advantage of multiple processors, and those that do, will by default run with as many threads as there are processors.

The clients that cannot take advantage of multiple processors even when the OS supports it, do so because of library or compatibility issues. Clients that fall in this category are HP/UX, SunOS 3, and Linux/S390. Under such circumstances, run one instance of the client per processor.
