(Answer) (Category) distributed.net Faq-O-Matic : (Category) Statistics, Graphs, and other Statsbox things : (Category) Client speeds database pages. : (Answer) I've found a speed in the database that is obviously incorrect.

Sometimes people accidentally submit speeds into our database that is obviously incorrect, for reasons such as the following:

  • entering the speed measured in kkeys or mkeys instead of whole keys.
  • selecting the wrong processor model.
  • selecting the wrong client version (and hence project type).
  • entering a benchmark for a single core but setting the number of cores higher than 1
  • typo in data entry.
  • intentionally entering an incorrect speed just to be malicious.
  • entering a benchmarked speed that was reported by the client, but under anomalous conditions (such as on a machine with faulty RAM, or disabled cache, or on a heavily loaded machine, or on a machine with a faulty clock).

If you suspect that you've found such an entry, please use the "Report as error" link that is found on every entry.
