Some of our projects, including RC5, DES and CSC, involve cryptography. There is nothing illegal, immoral, or dishonest about what we are trying to accomplish. These are legitimate contests sponsored by legitimate and respected organizations (RSA Data Security, Inc. and CS Communications & Systems). We are trying to decrypt encoded phrases which have been released to the public specifically to test and evaluate the strength of the encryption algorithm used in each contest.
